Context
People wanted in, they just didn't feel ready
MoneyFactory AI's pitch was investing you could set and forget. In a survey of 50+ young professionals, 68% avoided investing for lack of knowledge, 75% preferred automation to picking stocks, and 82% wanted a simple way to set goals. I designed the app in 2024 with Mustafa N. and Bhargav R., from surveys and prototypes to the full product.
01Goals
Starting with a goal
Sliders for amount and timeline turn a big target into what you'd put in each day, then go straight to a matched Smallcase basket.
Why: 75% of people didn't want to pick stocks, so the app opens with a goal, and shows exactly what's in the basket it picks.

02Habits
Keeping the habit going
Smart Alerts suggest top-ups, the transaction feed shows what went in, and a pause flow lets people take a break and get nudged to resume.
Why: Rigid plans get abandoned when life gets in the way, so pausing is built in as an alternative to quitting.

03Progress
Seeing progress and getting money out
A minimal sell screen with a live total, goal progress, and Withdraw Funds once a goal is complete.
Why: People decide whether to trust an automated product on the way out as much as on the way in.

Outcome
What changed
- MoneyFactory was runner-up at the Elevate Karnataka Startup Fest.
- VCs verbally committed $1M in seed investment after we presented the redesign.
- That came after an earlier pre-seed round (amount undisclosed).
